Strawflower, also called Paper Daisy is one the the easiest and most rewarding flowers to grow. Pink Sherbet produces masses of beautiful shades of salmon rose, apricot pink coloured papery blooms on tall, strong stems. Referred to as Everlasting Flowers for the obvious reason that these seem to last forever and ever. They are perfect for drying and also make wonderful cut flowers.

Start seeds indoors. Surface sow your seeds onto moist, well drained seed raising mix and pat down gently. Do not cover as these need light to germinate. Place in a warm position. Keep moist using a mist spray bottle. Water from underneath. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Harden off and transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Space 30cm apart.
