Also known as Columbine or Granny’s Bonnet. Aquilegia Black Barlow will enchant you with her olde worlde magical charm. This cottage garden favourite forms the most spellbinding deep chocolate-maroon, almost black, double flowers on tall, spindly stems. Splendid for borders or cut flowers.

Start seeds indoors. Sow seeds onto moist, well draining seed starting mix. Only just cover with a light sprinkling of soil. Keep moist but do not over-water. Transplant when large enough to handle. Space plants 30cm apart.
